The days will always be brighter because he existed.
The nights will always be darker because he's gone.
And no matter what anybody says about grief,
and about time healing all wounds, the truth is,
there are certain sorrows that never fade away.
Rest in Peace Mish, I love you. ♥♥♥

Gizmo needs a catnip toy
Gizmo must be toy deprived, but he's found something fun to do with his time.

Hummer v. Mantis
Hummingbirds don't have many natural predators. Other than cats, they are most likely to be killed by other birds. There are other, less obvious, predators for the tiny hummers, namely, the Praying Mantis.
Hummingbirds aren't the only animals that need to beware of the Praying Mantis; they have been known to capture, kill and eat mice.
While I've never seen this happen myself, I wouldn't want my finger in the way of the business end of a Praying Mantis, having seen what it can do. I do have a growing collection of Ruby-throated hummingbird photos...

Battle at Kruger
I was watching something on TV when this came on. I guess some guy was on a safari and caught this on tape. Not many have seen something like this, there haven't even been a lot of professionals able to capture it. Anyway, National Geographic found out and paid good money to have it, so the family must have made some good cash! Kind of long, but I believe it's worth it. I know this video seems awful, but hang in there, it gets better.

Bruno
While sitting on one of the couches in Building 19, this little leaf bug (i believe thats what he is) just came crawling next to me. I decided to name him Bruno. Old WP ended up getting good pictures even though he never wanted to stay still. As soon as i put him down he started to eat a leaf. i guess he didn't get any food in 19. I think he was sent to me by my mothzilla Alice. I know the slide show goes kind of fast, so if you just put your mouse over it, you can pause it :]

Mothzilla
Walking in an old graveyard the other day, I stumbled upon this baby on a tombstone. I don't actually know what it's called (I'm sure Wabbit will be able to find out in .2 seconds ;]) but the thing was HUGE! I mean that thing was the size of my pointer finger! Damcat got really scared when i brought "Alice" in the house, so did the Old WP, but she got over it and helped take pictures, which actually came out rather well on Deacon's camera. It's actually a shame that she wasn't dead, could have put her in the bug collection. Oh well, enjoy.
P.S. Old WP took these groundhog pics about 3 months ago but didn't know how to post, so here you go!
